Lani's 6th Birthday Dinner

On the 4th of March, It was my little cousin Lani's 6th birthday, so she invited us to dinner at the Salamanca Inn for dinner.
We got her some gel pens, a red top and an art hanger.
It was a scrumptious dinner!
I had chicken nuggets and chips, and they were heavenly........
For dessert, we had a choc-fudge sundae with a morsel of toffee that just melted in my mouth!
It came with whipped cream, marshmallows and lots of little things.
Anyway, I had brought my camera, and was just about to take a photo, when Emily comes up behind me and says, "Can I take a photo?"
So I let her be the photographer that night and she brought it back to me with some impressing results.
I haven't included any of her snaps in this post, but they were very good Emi!
Can you tell which ones I've put special effects on?
I was having a bit of fun with them on the night, so enjoy them!
This being my favourite picture of the night, a picture of Lani, having fun on her birthday.

One of lani's Birthday presents, and my hand, with, um, a minor special effect....

This is the lovely Miss Emi.

Um, this photo was accidently taken by me, but don't you agree with me that its a work of art?

This is one of the choc-fudge sundaes..... and Lani of course!

I think Lani enjoyed her birthday dinner, with or without this delicious sundae as a tremendous birthday cake!

Lucky dip writing

At school a few weeks ago, we had to complete a writing activity
in which we had four slits of paper.
On one of them, we had to write
a place, for example, 'shack.'
On another, we were to write a
time/day, for example, 'Saturday.'
On the last two, we had to write
two characters, for example, 'Tweety' and 'Black Ninja.'
And then we had to put them in one of the correct three boxes,
labeled: Names, places and Time/day.
We had to wait untill everyone had finished doing this, before we all got four slits out of the boxes, one place, one time/day, and two people.
I picked Black Ninja, Tweety, Saturday and shack.
I decided I wanted to turn it into a slightly tweaked version of 'T'was the night before christmas.'
Ok, a hugeley twisted version...
We had about 3/4 hour to do it in.
But anyway, enjoy my latest piece of writing!

It was the day before Saturday and all through Lakeety,
Not a black Ninja was stirring, not even Sir Tweety.
Their suitcases were packed, all set by the door,
in hopes they would awake at quarter to four.
Black Ninja, you see, was packed for the shack,
all he needed to do was pack a quick snack.
Sir Tweety, it seemed was still snooring away,
silenty listening to all the sounds in the bay.
They were finally ready by half past six
When clumsy Sir Tweety tripped over some sticks.
Then he jumped back up and said with a grin
"lucky I didn't knock over the bin"!
They jumped in the car, prepared for a drive
The shack would not be in sight 'til q quarter past five.
Sir Tweety just groaned as they drove down the road,
and poor black Ninja was in silent mode.
Trouble occurred at South-East Milldank,
when black Ninja drove them off the side of a bank!
Rumbling and tumbling down through the trees,
when they fell out and landed hard on their knees.
"How are we going to get back up there"?
If we stay here, oh,how I fear of a bear"!
But as Tweety kept rampling like an old man,
Black Ninja was simply forming a plan.
His hands spoke to Tweety with the least of a fear,
Hold it, they said, I have just the idea.
Our holidays can still be saved if we try,
there's no need to yell, there's no need to cry!
Just unload the car and do as I say,
we can have fun the old fashioned way.
So they camped out that night, slept under the stars,
As it turns out they had ventured afar,
Their shack, it seems, was just 'round the corner,
But that's how it goes in West California!

W.I.N.T.E.R

Who knows what the time is
when it's time to snuggle up
Who knows what the time is
when you have hot chocolate in a cup.
When delicate crystals fall from the sky
and make the backyard white
When it's time to say goodbye
to warmth, say hello to the beautiful sight.
Of big and fluffy snowmen
Igloos and warm clothes.
Of huge gi-normous ice-men
And frozen rivers with boats.
Can you guess what time I hinder?
Yes, that's right...it's chilly winter.
