Ice Skating

On Wednesday my class mates and I went on a science excursion to the Glenorchy Ice Rink.
We got to wear jeans to school and bought our school track pants in case our bottoms got wet.  I also wore my gloves, scarfe and hat because it was so cold there it felt like we were in the Mountains.
I was very bad at skating I had to hold on to the edge the whole time, but it was great fun. Daddy came to watch me skate as he was passing by while we were there.  Locke also also had an excursion to Bunnings Warehouse to make something for Daddy.
The Science experiment was watching little cars racing across the ice.

Me trying to skate solo.

Still trying not to let go.

I want mum and dad to take me there again one day so that I can try to improve at my ice skating technique.

Dont try this at home
(Because there isn't any ice there hahaha)

Nice Joke Jenna!!! I am glad you had fun Ice Skating - it's very hard isn't it? Did you know in Finland in the winter time they turn their soccer fields into Ice Skating rinks. So every scoccer or football field you have around your ice - imagine if it was an ice skating rink!!!

oops... sorry it's supposed to be 'around your HOUSE' not around your ICE... Sorry GRANDMA - I am sure you would have been able to work that one out that Jenna...

Yeah we took Madi ice skating and the first time she just clung on all the time. But then we took her again and she let go of the edge and was actually really good. I think it's just FEAR and once you let go you realise that you can skate without clinging on it's just scary. Anyway glad you had fun.
