The Thongs

I did some photography at the beach on Bruny with Dad's special camera.  I decided to take Dads thongs for a walk and take some photos of them because I thought he might like the shots as he is a very arty person.  I thought that he might be able to use some of these for MONA.  haha...

Friday with a Bang!

Daddy went to Bruny last Friday, but we decided to go over on Saturday morning.  So this is what happened on Friday...

Friday morning we headed off to Cygnet for a small gathering for my mum's old Principal Mr. Butterworth.  We go to meet lots of new people and some of Mummy's old teachers.  My Principal at Sacred Heart Mrs. Morgan was also there because she worked with him at my mum's old school St James College.

After this we went to the Red Velvet Lounge and had some delicious, just absolutely scrumptious, potatoe cakes and hot chocolate with Nanny, Hannah and Keely.

After this we went to visit Mum's cousin Cathy and her baby Lincoln who is only 1 week younger than Zak.

Then we drove to Glen Huon to visit Nanny and Poppy Woolley.  We walked in to find strawberry baby cakes and we got to ice them with pink icing and sprinkles and we ate all of them.  I took some photos.

We drove to Huonville and we saw Claire, Riley and Grace there.  We ordered some Chinese for Dinner, then we went back to Nanny's and Catherine, Cameron, Jack and Travis came up to have some with us.

Then we had a bath and I wasn't feeling too good (I think I had too many cakes and pork balls), and we went to bed.

City of Clarence 40th Eistedford

Last Thursday the Grade 3 choir participated in the 40th City of Clarence Eistedford, which was held at City Wide.  We sang 'Catch A Falling Star' and 'The Music Man'.  We received a Merit Award for our performance.  Mum, Locke, Zak, Grandma and Nanny came to watch me.  I felt very nervous when I got onto the stage, but it was fun.

This is a photo of us with our music teacher Mrs Bourke.  I am standing at the left hand end of the middle row.  Mummy was a long way back so couldn't take a better photo than this.

Here is Zak, sucking his fingers as usual.

Here is Locke, eating a Milo custard.

thank-you very much Grandma!

Today while Mummy and Nanny went shopping Locke and I went down to spend the afternoon with Grandma. Mummy sprayed our hair with golden glitter spray.
Firstly, Locke wrote a letter to one of his favorite cousins Lani, so he decided he would
'sneak' the letter into Lani's letterbox that very day, so the trip to Lani's house, Big W and back home, turned out to be quite an 'adventure'.
Locke decided he would walk ahead of me and Grandma because he wanted to be the leader. After we posted the letter we walked along to a dirt path and ended up walking up a very steep hill. Soon after that we reached another steep hill and this time we had to go down it. Locke ran down as fast he could while I slid along on my legs. Then we reached the over pass and had to go under 2 roads. When we finally reached Big W we sat and had a doughnut and we went into Big W and got to choose a small gift. We also went to the bookshop were I purchased the next book in 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' THE MISERABLE MILL. Locke got 'Where's Wally'. Aunty Elle came down to pick us up to take us back to Grandma's. Thank you Grandma for spoiling us and we had a very fun day.

Happy Fathers Day Daddy

We have been preparing for Fathers Day all week at school.  One of the things I did was write a list poem all about my dad, here it is;

Dear Dad,
You....
Are funny, take me fun places,
Eat chocolate, watch A.F.L,
Love coffee, are silly,
Make me laugh, are loving,
Mow the lawn, are cool,
Adore Star Wars, work hard,
(In my favourite place, the museum!)
Are helpful
And lots more that I appreciate you for.
Dad, you are a great person ; - )

I love my dad very much he does so much for us and I hope he has a great Fathers Day!

Ice Skating

On Wednesday my class mates and I went on a science excursion to the Glenorchy Ice Rink.
We got to wear jeans to school and bought our school track pants in case our bottoms got wet.  I also wore my gloves, scarfe and hat because it was so cold there it felt like we were in the Mountains.
I was very bad at skating I had to hold on to the edge the whole time, but it was great fun. Daddy came to watch me skate as he was passing by while we were there.  Locke also also had an excursion to Bunnings Warehouse to make something for Daddy.
The Science experiment was watching little cars racing across the ice.

Me trying to skate solo.

Still trying not to let go.

I want mum and dad to take me there again one day so that I can try to improve at my ice skating technique.

Dont try this at home
(Because there isn't any ice there hahaha)
