Our presents all the way from Colorado Springs

On Wednesday I got a big surprise when I came home because I saw a large box sitting on the foot stool.  So I went to mum ' whats that' and pointed to the box, she said 'it's a package for you and Locke', I read on the box it was from Aunty Laura, then I went to the box and mummy handed me the scissors and we ripped into it.  When we opened it there were lots of things in there for Locke, Zak and me.

Me reading my letter from Aunty Laura.

Us with our presents - Aunty Laura sent some 'pop-its' we had never ever seen them, but mum had and she said they used to have them on cracker night.  We went outside and she showed us what to do with them.  They are really cool.

Heres my book, lip gloss and necklace that Aunty Laura sent me and all of my birthday cards.

Aunty Hannah came up on Thursday to see me and gave me a new nintendo game and some chocolate and some clips - the chocolate was yum.  Oh and I also got a card today from Nanny Carmichael and Bill with some money so now I have $120 to spend on our shopping spree!!!!
Thank you again for my birthday presents everyone :)

My Birthday

It all started on Saturday the 26th July when I got my first number 9 birthday present which was a Beados super studio which was from Uncle Matt and Aunty Tracey. Next it was the Nintendo DS (double screen) from Mum and Dad which they gave me on Sunday morning so I could have a day to play with it. When I first opened the Nintendo I was very excited because it was the thing that I mostly wanted. When I woke up on Monday morning I ran into Mummy and Daddys room at 6.30 and said 'come on mum and dad get up' so eventually they got up and my presents were sitting in the lounge room waiting to be opened by me. First there was a huge package of clothes and for the first time ever I unfolded the clothes and had a look at them instead of tossing them aside, they were soooooo cool, my favourite clothing was the skirt with flowers on it. Then I got Deal or No Deal game because we all love the show.

My mum stayed up late the night before and made the most scrumptuos cup cakes in the whole wide world it seems, for that day the kids at my school thought that the cup cakes were the best they had ever tasted!
My day at school was like an ordinary day with a few small differences.......They sang happy birthday to be twice, once in the morning and again in the afternoon, I got a birthday sticker and everyone was extra especially nice.

Now to bowling - When we arrived at the ten pin bowling centre in Moonah, all of the people were there except for a few of them. Very very very soon after that I had a big load full of presents in my arms and eventually had to hand them over to Nanny for safe keeping. The bowling was incredible, everyone had a fair go, I was not that good at bowling but it was fun. Locke won surprisingly and my Dad is very good he got 3 strikes. Marty was very funny because he kept on saying 'Marty turn' hahaha.

Now to dinner - at Maccas when we first got there all of the kids including Sam went on the playground and played chasings, Locke was it. We all had happy meals apart from the grown ups and Sam. Mum finally brought out the ice cream cake and it was 3 different flavours with sprinkles on top. At the end I made a small announcement thanking everyone for coming to my party and everyone had a bit of a giggle.

We had lots of fun, I got lots of great presents including an mp3 player, an extremely cool diary, some more clothes, nintendo game, textas, scrap book, doctor quiz game, bangles, hair band and I also got lots of money which will be good for me and my mum when we have our shopping spree for our girls day out while locke and daddy go to the footy.
Grandad posted me a cool Egypt book and I also got a card and some money from Nanny Woolley and Aunty Ali also handmade my card and it was absolutely beautiful.

Thanks Jane!!!

On Friday Locke and I received a parcel, the mail man bought it to the door.  It was 2 separate parcels tapped together one for me and one for Locke.  We were very excited and wondered who they could be from, then I read the back and saw that it was from mummy's friend Jane.  Inside my package was a present wrapped in white paper with sparkly bits of glitter on it.  I unwrapped it and inside was a very fascinating Egypt book which I haven't got and now I have 9 different books about Egypt.  Daddy also bought me a new one when he went to Sydney.  Locke got a Kung Fu Panda clock book from Jane and some clothes for Zak.
Thanks Jane, Matt and James for the books, we really appreciate them and it was exciting to get something in the mail.

The Sleep Over

During the May school holidays all of my cousins and I (except for the under 3's) went to Nanny's house for a gigantic sleeping bag sleep over!  We slept in the rumpus room and watched 4 movies while we ate chips, lollies and chocolate.  We set up the rumpus room with sleeping bags and our pillows and decided who was going to sleep where.  I slept next to Tori and Ella.  The three of us girls are the best of friends and we like to chat alot and giggle especially Tori!

Our Trip to Mt Field

When I woke up this morning I was sooooo excited because we were going to Mt Field. When we got there we went to the visitors centre and we were told that only 4 wheel drives were allowed to go to the top of the mountain. Dad and Locke were both very disappointed that they were not allowed to see the snow.
But Dad decided that we would drive up the mountain until a sign was put up to say that we could not go any further, but it appeared that there wasn't a sign!! So we drove up the mountain until we came to a very slippery bit of road. Nearby was a parking area covered in snow, so mum suggested that we would park there and play in the snow. So we reversed into the parking spot, but when we went to go forward the car only made a very strange sound..........oh oo. The strange sound was a skidding sound. I was very scared so I silently prayed to God. Mum got out to push but it didn't work so she found a log and pushed it under the back tyre and finally the car was free!!!! Pheewww

After that we went back down the mountain and we took a walk to the Russell Falls water fall, it was beautiful!  We were looking forward to having a nice hot chocolate and some cookies back at the cafe, but by the time we got back it was 3.30 and the cafe was closed, which was disappointing - that was my exciting trip to Mt Field and back.

The Frog Pool

We went to the aquatic centre in the school holidays with mum, dad and Zak.  We go there quite often to have a swim and Locke looooves going down the slide and I like doing backstroke.  It is quite fun when we all go there together.  Locke and I play water chasings and we also go under the water fountains.  The reason we call it the frog pool is because there is a frog slide there and thats what Locke started calling it when he was little.  Here are a few shots of Locke having a 'crazy time' and to show you him going down the slide:

Here comes Locke...

up he pops.....

out he gets.....

After swimming we went to spider and muffys new house.  They still need to move a few bits of furniture but their house is awesome.  Spider and Muffy are my aunty and uncle, their real names aren't spider and muffy their real names are Scott and Katrina but we call them these names for short!
